APET (Animal Preservation of East Texas) is a non-profit organization of volunteers working to reduce the number of abandoned and abused animals in our area.
Founded in 2003, our Mission is:
* Help control the pet population through spaying and neutering programs
* Protect animals from cruelty, neglect, carelessness and ignorance
* Offer refuge, medical care, nourishment, and the opportunity for a second chance at life to unwanted animals in East Texas
* Foster a public sentiment of humanity and gentleness toward animals
* Encourage and promote responsible pet ownership
* Raise funding for construction of the Wood County APET SPCA shelter |
