Come join the fun at Friends of Lake Holbrook's 4th Annual Fish Fry Saturday, September 23rd at Lake Holbrook on CR 2298 at Golden Park and Boat Ramp. Only $10.00 per plate or $5.00 for kids under 12. Fish plates served from 12-5pm. There will be a Horseshoe Tournament at a $20.00 entry fee, the registration will be at 10am on West side(CR 2298)-Drawing for 2 person teams at 11am. There will be a Cornhole Toss Tournament at a $20.00 entry fee the registration will be at 10am on West Side(CR 2298)- Drawing for 2 person teams at 11am. We hope to see you there!
Saturday, September 23rd from 9am-2pm the Mineola Civic Center will be hosting the Junk in the Trunk Sale. If you are wanting to sell you can load up your car or truck with anything you want to sell- garage sale- type stuff, crafts, clothing, etc. You sell directly to the public. No food or animal sales. If you are coming to shop you can shop for used goods, sports gear, children's items, arts, crafts, antiques, furniture, etc. Sellers register early-$10.00 Day of sale-$15.00.
The Mineola Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that we will be hosting a Quarterly luncheon featuring updates from city, county and state officials .The Mineola Chamber of Commerce will be holding its quarterly luncheon on Monday, September 25th at 12:00 noon at The Mineola Country Club. Mineola mayor Kevin White, Wood County Sheriff Tom Castloo and State Representative Cole Hefner will provide updates for chamber members at this luncheon in addition to short presentations from three local businesses. Lunch will be served and the cost is $15.
Vitae Pondera Institute of Integrative Health is offering another gathering on Grief, Growth and Gratitude, learning healing skills for bereavement.This time we will be offering combined activities of art therapy, music therapy, discussion, visualization and body movement for stress relief. We will be learning to develop new tools for restructuring our lives for a new normal, with a goal toward self-empowerment and to strengthen our balance physically, mentally,and spiritually." The Mineola Chamber of Commerce Iron Horse Festival is October 28th. Celebrate Mineola's railroad history with food, games, music, shopping and more!
The Mineola Chamber of Commerce is hosting Trunk or Treat this year on Halloween night from 5:30pm-8:30pm in downtown Mineola and Commerce Street. It is open and free to join for all organizations, businesses, and individuals.
